Erickson Lubin is one of boxing hottest prospect and his rise has been steady since 2015. Tonight on the undercard of the highly anticipated clash between Thurman Garcia the Haitian prospect out of Orlando, Florida will take a huge step toward a world title fight.

Lubin (17-0, 12  knockouts) will face Jorge Cota (25 – 1, 22 knockouts) in an elimination bout for the world title held by Jermell Charlo (28-0, 13 KOs), who first has another mandatory defense on tap against Charles Hatley (26-1-1, 18 KOs).

This is a great opportunity for the young Haitian-American fighter. “I don’t just want to win,” Lubin said. “I want to make a statement and show the world and the 154-pound division why I deserve to be at the top and have one of the titles.”

The fight will air live tonight on local channel CBS starting at 9:00 PM.
