Haiti will kick start the final rounds of its 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup campaign versus Caribbean foe Curacao tomorrow April 21 at 5:30 PM in Panama City. The two teams shared Group A along host Panama and Honduras. Group B contains Costa Rica, Cuba, Suriname, and Canada while the highly competitive Group C features Mexico, USA, Jamaica, and El Salvador.

The 12 teams in the 3 groups of 4 will try to grab the top two positions in each group which will qualify them for the next classification round of 2 groups of 3. The winners and runner-ups of each group in the classification round will qualify for the 2017 FIFA World Cup U-17 in India later this year.

Haiti met their Papiamento and Dutch speaking fellow Caribbean counterparts during the semifinals at the CFU Cup where the unexpectedly strong Curacao team pushed the Champions deep into the match before capitulating with the honorable score of a 3-1 defeat. Therefore, the young Grenadiers should not expect an easy win over the lesser known Caribbean team. It is important to notice that the Haitian team has replaced its coaching staff just a few days again. It is unclear how the team will perform in Panama.
